In partnership with the West Michigan Shoreline Regional Development Commission, the West Michigan Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area and GEI consultants are gearing up to conduct Hemlock Woolly Adelgid surveys throughout West Michigan– starting in Oceana and Muskegon counties.
Public Information meetings are meant to introduce communities to the invasive Hemlock Woolly Adelgid while offering the most recent updates to the efforts being taken to report, survey and control infestations. Residents will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on locations of hemlock stands.
Please help spread the word about this announcement by sharing it with friends or colleagues who may benefit from attending a public information meeting.
These sessions are funded by a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Great Lakes Restoration Initiative grant.
